When you hear the word “Wedding”, you can almost always correlate cakes to it. Of course, since wedding days are people’s one of the most glorious days, the cake that represents it should also be or as equivalent to as the wedding itself. The Cake represents both of the lovely couple on their biggest day. When choosing the perfect cake for your wedding, one should always look out to those who have satisfied a number of couples!
Tell us a bit about your business:
I started Sugarpot 10 years ago when I left my corporate life to be a full-time mum. Baking has always been my passion even as I was growing up and so it was but natural to fall back into something that I found comforting. Sugarpot , is in many way the same- its about warmth and comfort of the family and happiness in simple things. Each creation of mine reflects these elements while telling the story of who it was created for.

Being able to combine my love for baking while still being able to take care of my children.

What do you do to take care of yourself, recharge or reconnect with your creativity?
On a daily basis I ensure I organise my day well, as this means I get to connect with my children once they are back from school. To recharge myself, I make sure I go for walks often as this gives me the opportunity to be out in nature, which feeds my creativity. I also love to connect with other creatives, to bounce off ideas and let off steam every now and then.
What inspires you?
Where do I being? Nature foremost. She’s perfect in all her imperfect ways and secondly fabric. There’s something about fabric, I can envision a cake very quickly when I see fabric. These are my top two sources for inspiration.

I’d love to live anywhere amidst nature. Right now locally I love the Southerland Shire more specifically Sutton Forest or overseas New Zealand – the South Island to be more specific.

What is your favourite quote?
occupation: aspiring beam of light.
Sugarpot is about simplicity – delicious cakes made with loving hands. We are proud ambassadors of baked from scratch cakes. Inspired by nature and translated through sugar, we believe each cake tells a story. A proud mother of two and I created Sugarpot for the love of all things sweet. Sugarpot is all about love and warmth of family and friends and the beauty of nature that God created. It is with this sentiment that each and every cake is created in my studio.
